As a new client of our Granada Animal Hospital in Ormond Beach, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by reception. Before we usher you into an examination room, we will have a Client Information Sheet to be filled out. We ask that new clients arrive 10-20 minutes early to complete forms and to allow our staff to review and record any previous records for your pet. This allows the staff to double check what your pet will need and give you and your pet to familiarize yourself with our office. Sometimes, the first visit is exciting and scary all at the same time. New place, new smells, and new people.
Once all records and forms are complete, and your pet has been checked in; we will usher you and your pet into an examination room.
In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will begin gathering information about your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit. Any information will assist the Doctor in their examination.
Our Veterinarian will then examine your pet, ask you further questions and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you are completely comfortable with the information we are providing. Dr. Wolfe and Dr. Whalen both love to educate clients and will often provide written literature for you to take home and read.
Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer any wellness care questions you may have. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any additional appointments if needed.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected happens, creating slight delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
We are excited to meet you and your pets!
